This project gave us a lot of free reign, with the only stipulation being that we be able to present a printed piece at the end. We were left to decide the audience, the purpose, and any and all design and brand decisions. I created a magazine that targeted young professional Magic the Gathering players. Unlike most of the current landscape that focuses on the fantasy elements of the game, I wanted to create something that centered more around the skill, challenge, and competitive nature that draws serious players in.
One of the main features of the magazine was an article that broke down the top three decks of the current meta-game. An infographic style was used to visually breakdown the different elements of each deck.
